The Heart Behind ADERA Adult Family Home
For the past eight years, I’ve had the honor of working as a caregiver—walking alongside countless families through one of life’s most delicate journeys: caring for their loved ones. Before becoming a registered nurse and graduate from the University of Washington, I was already deeply rooted in this work, not just as a job, but as a calling.
Many of the families I supported have become lifelong connections—people who encouraged me, believed in me, and even helped me through nursing school. Their words stayed with me: “You should open your own home—you have something special.” Those words planted the seed for what has now become ADERA Adult Family Home.
ADERA means trust—a value I hold at the core of everything I do. This work isn’t just about healthcare; it’s about heart, integrity, and making a lasting difference in people’s lives. ADERA is my dream turned reality—a professional, compassionate space built on the belief that everyone deserves not just care, but connection and dignity.
I want to especially thank the Albrecht family—Constance, Carl, Henry, and Richard—for their unwavering support, love, and encouragement. You’ve been part of this journey from the very beginning, and ADERA would not exist without you.
Welcome to ADERA—where trust meets care, and every resident is treated like family.

Adera—Building Bridges of Trust and Compassion
Welcome to Adera, a business name that draws its roots from the rich tapestry of the Ethiopian Amharic language, where it signifies “Trust” in English. In the fusion of linguistic heritage and contemporary commerce, Adera stands as a beacon of reliability and assurance. Embrace a business ethos deeply embedded in the cultural resonance of trust, inviting you to experience a journey where credibility meets the timeless essence of Care.
In the delicate tapestry of family care, trust forms the unbreakable thread that binds our commitment to nurturing and safeguarding our loved ones, particularly our mothers and fathers. Trust is the cornerstone that enables us to entrust the well-being of our parents into the hands of caregivers, medical professionals, and support networks. It’s the assurance that our elders will be treated with respect, compassion, and the utmost care.
As our mothers and fathers age, trusting relationships become vital for their physical and emotional welfare. Whether it’s entrusting healthcare decisions to medical professionals or relying on the support of caregivers, trust is the linchpin that allows us to navigate the complex landscape of caring for our elders. This reliance on trust is not only about competence but also about the empathy and genuine concern that create a nurturing environment.
In trusting relationships, we find the peace of mind necessary to balance the responsibilities of caregiving. It fosters open communication, transparency, and a shared commitment to the well-being of our cherished parents. The importance of trust extends beyond mere competence; it embodies the emotional connection that ensures our loved ones are not just cared for but truly looked after with the love and respect they deserve.
